However, please consider the following when doing a search:

Make sure you spell the mineral and/or location correctly - computers are a bit fussy about this kind of thing.

Sometimes the spelling of a minerals' name or the name itself changes to make it more up-to-date. We always try to reflect these changes and use the most modern spelling. However, occasionally we will make mistakes so perhaps try both old and new spellings.

The same is true of some locations. For instance the names of some cities in India have recently been changed back to their pre-British colonial rule spellings. It is also wise not to make a location search too precise. The locations for many minerals have been incorrectly recorded so it may be worth specifying a state or county rather than a particular mine or quarry.
