| Description | | Barite on Witherite | |
|
| | | Barite on witherite on quartz white pyrite and sphalerite on a limestone matrix!
The barite forms snow-white spear-shaped crystals exceptionally to 5mm long. The quartz druse is just visible beneath the barite and is sprinkled with tiny pyrite crystals. There are also several small (sub-millimetre) red sphalerites.
The barite fluoresces white in UV light and is also phosphorescent. Some sits on a little massive, pale yellow witherite.
There is very little, if any, damage
