| | | Stunning honey-brown calcite from Northern Ireland!
The cavities in a gray basalt matrix are lined with water-clear, millimetre-sized chabazite crystals. Perched on these are randomly oriented, transparent, gemmy, scalenahedral calcite crystals to 13mm - some double terminated. The calcites fluoresce yellow under all UV wavelengths and are also phosphorescent. They are in excellent condition
Without doubt some of the finest calcite from the province. Collected as recently as April 2006
